
Accredited Visitors Program
Accredited visiting at Cape Cod Hospital takes place every Tuesday & Thursday beginning at 11AM
The Accredited Visitors program provides peer support to patients and caregivers upon diagnosis of heart disease, pre-surgery or medical procedure, during a hospital stay, during recovery, and any time support is needed.
What is it?
Patients who have heart disease, caregivers of adult patients, and parents of children who have heart disease are trained to visit.
Patients, caregivers or parents are visited (given peer support) to help reduce anxiety, answer non-medical questions, give hope, and inspire
Visits can be in-person, by phone, by email, by video chat or online.
Who can visit?
Patients who have any type of cardiovascular/heart disease, caregivers of adult patients, parents of children who have heart disease including congenital heart disease
